Free & Reduced Meals
The Free & Reduced Meal Program application is sent home at the beginning of each school year and parents and guardians are required to reapply each year for assistance. However, you may apply to participate in the Free & Reduced Meal Program at any time throughout the school year by submitting a household application directly to your school. If you are earning at or below current Income Eligibility Guidelines, your household may qualify to receive free or reduced price meals. Include all household members and their income on one application. Then return your completed application to the main office of the school where your student attends.  Once the application is processed, you will receive notification of the results.


In order to receive breakfast or lunch at the free or reduced price students must take a full breakfast or lunch.  Below are some examples and explanations of what student must take in order to make a full lunch or breakfast.  If students do not take a full lunch they must pay ala carte prices for the items they take.  For example if your student is free or reduced and brings a lunch from home they will have to pay $0.45 for milk regardless of thier free or reduced status.  If you have any questions regarding free or reduced breakfast or lunches please call the food service office at 313-535-4000 x-1183.
